#1 Dragon’s Gate Brewery (Walla Walla Valley)
The first one we’ve got on the list is the phenomenal Dragon’s Gate Brewery located in the Walla Walla Valley, near the state border, in northeastern Oregon. If you’re into Belgian-style ales, this one should be an obvious choice: it’s placed on a 10-acre farm, smoothly nested amongst orchards, vineyards, fields of wheat, and other types of incredible natural scenery. It has the authentic, warm, out-in-the-country small-brewery vibe, and its staff is 100% up to the task. At least, that’s the idea you’d get by browsing various online reviews. PS. We overheard their IPAs (especially: Double Dragon IPA) are top-notch!
You’ll certainly enjoy the brews over at Dragon’s Gate Brewery.
Alt-tag: A person sipping tap beer.
#2 Terminal Gravity Brewery & Pub (Enterprise)
With a name like that, you can’t go wrong! Introducing: the Terminal Gravity Brewery & Pub located in Enterprise, OR. People from around the state flock to this little Eastern Oregon town because they want to enjoy some award-winning beers and fantastic food. Also, they’re in search of great company, and that’s exactly what they’ll get over at the Terminal Gravity Brewery & Pub. If you’re a fan of American-style foods and old-school outdoor picnic tables, this one’s for you. And let’s consider the reviews. Visitors around the US are basically unanimous in their thoughts about the place. They say prices are very affordable once compared to the service you’ll get. The staff over at Terminal Gravity Brewery & Pub seem to know what they’re doing!
#3 Copper Belt Wines (Baker City)
Now, we’ll try something else (other than beer)! Let’s hear it for some nice wine. If your path ever goes through Baker City, don’t hesitate to visit the city’s Copper Belt Wines winery. We’re talking about a certain oxymoron here: it’s pretty renowned, yet people refer to it as a “hidden gem”. Also, where there’s top-quality artisan red & white wine, there’s bound to be some premium cheese, too. When it comes to this unwritten rule, this winery’s no exception. You’ll enjoy a wide selection of cheeses and have a hard time picking the one you love the most! These people grow their fruit at some of the highest elevations in Oregon. This guarantees that their selection of wines isn’t to be compared that easily with other producers!
#4 Echo Ridge Cellars (Echo)
Let’s stick to wine and mention the fantastic Echo Ridge Cellars winery located where else but in the town of Echo, a little to the southeast of Hermiston, one of the best family cities in Oregon. If you’re on the lookout for a supreme wine-tasting experience, look no further. The owners are a team of husband and wife who, in all their modesty, say they’re living their dream. Each of the wines you’ll be able to try out is, as they say, spot on. Also, pricing shouldn’t worry you too much since the prices are, by all means, reasonable. You’ll be happy to know that the tasting venue is actually a transformed historic grain elevator. Now, there’s some history for you!
Visit Echo Ridge Cellars, one of the best wineries in Oregon as a whole.

#5 1188 Brewing Brewery & Pub (John Day)
Going back to our brewery tour, let’s consider the 1188 Brewing Brewery & Pub in John Day, Oregon. The city’s trademark brewery is a place every newcomer has to check on their first weekend there. It’s something locals call “a must”. If you’re into extraordinary service, saliva-inducing, and a wide selection of beers to choose from combo, we’re sure you’ll fall in love with this place right away.
Even if you order the so-called plain wings, you’ll notice they’re anything but plain. The staff at 1188 Brewing is very friendly. They’ll make sure you experience premium service and want to go back for the second time or even move closer to them. While we’re on the subject, off-season relocation is quite popular in Eastern Oregon since there are many benefits to it. Keep in mind that there’s no off-season for the guys over at 1188 Brewing. Maybe that’s what brings newcomers to this part of the state!
#6 Prodigal Son Brewery & Pub (Pendleton)
The last brewery that we’ll consider today is the one located in Pendleton. It’s called the Prodigal Son Brewery & Pub. We can assume people return there on a daily basis reinventing the old “prodigal son has returned” into “I’ve returned to Prodigal Son (once again)”. People say this is “one of the coolest places to have a drink” in Eastern Oregon. Also, they add that everything is top-notch: the way the place is decorated, the food, the friendly staff, a bunch of phenomenal events, and, of course, the beers. If you’re into buying local merch, the place has a wide selection of neat little reminders that you’ve been there.
This time, you return to Prodigal Son, not the other way around.

#7 Sno Road Winery (Echo)
And once again – we’re in Echo to see our last addition to the list of best breweries and wineries you need to visit in Eastern Oregon. The wine you’ll get to taste there comes directly from the estate vineyard called “Echo West”. Over there, the people from the Sno Road Winery grow various sorts, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, and many more. If any of these names ring a bell (and we’re sure they do), make sure you visit the Sno Road Winery.
