Spring Break Planning in Eastern Oregon

March 10, 2020 by Paladin Realty Team

(Content submitted by Lisa Roberts.)

Spending your spring break in Easter Oregon might seem like an odd idea. After all, at first glance, there doesn’t seem to be much to do here. There are no large cities with 24/7 partying. And, unlike Western Oregon, there are no sandy beaches where you can enjoy the seaside. So, what is there for a young person to do in Easter Oregon? Well, as it turns out, a nature lover can have the time of their life by spending their spring break here. And, to help you get an idea of what that would be like, we are going to give you some useful tips for spring break planning in Easter Oregon.

Before spring break planning in Eastern Oregon

The first thing we need to make clear is that spending spring break in Eastern Oregon is not for everyone. As we mentioned, you will not find your modern ideas of fun here. But if you are the type of person that enjoys camping, hiking and spending time in the great outdoors, Eastern Oregon is perfect for you.

A nature lover will truly enjoy spring break in Easter Oregon.

We realize that not all of you have had the opportunity to spend any significant time in the outdoors. Sure, you may have spent a night camping, or you may have gone to a couple of hikes. But, in order to properly deal with planning your spring break in Easter Oregon, you need to know what spending time in nature is like. Now, this in itself is a large subject to which numerous books have been dedicated. So, we won’t try to go over in its entirety. Instead, we are going to mention some major pointers that should give you an idea of what the outdoors here is like.

How to prepare

When preparing for your spring break in Easter Oregon try to plan your trip carefully. Keep in mind that things like bad weather or unforeseen circumstances can cost you much more than if you were simply staying at a hotel. So, do yourself a favor and study the area you plan on visiting in advance. This should give you an idea of what items you’ll need to carry and how to orient your supplies. Among the things you will need for a 7-day camping trip are:

  • Tent.
  • Sleeping bags.
  • Headlamps.
  • Axe and camping tools.
  • Stove and fuel.
  • Lighter/fire starter.
  • Cooking utensils.
  • Water bottles.
  • Personal hygiene supplies.
  • Suitable clothes.

Also, remember to leave room for mistakes. No matter how much you plan, unforeseen events can happen, and you don’t want to find yourself unable to deal with them. So, follow the advice from experienced nature survivalists and pack extra supplies. Also, if you are coming from a different state, visit sites like bestmoversinflorida.com and learn what long-distance travel is going to be like.

What spending time in nature is like

There are hundreds of studies and articles outlining why spending time in nature is one of the best things you can do for yourself. The fresh air, the sunlight, the beauty of nature… All of them will easily bring a sense of tranquility and serenity. Now, is it all sunshine and rainbows? Of course not. The great outdoors brings with itself bugs, dirt, and exposure to elements. If you are not used to spending time outdoors or sleeping in sleeping bags, a spring break in Easter Oregon can be exhausting. So, before you head out, we suggest that you camp near your own home first. This should at least give you an idea of whether spending your spring break in Easter Oregon is something that you’d enjoy.
