The Pendleton Arts Commission just announced their upcoming Art in City Hall program. With a mission of highlighting the work of Pendleton artists, the program will display original artwork along the second floor of City Hall, connecting community members with the work of local artisans. Exhibits will change quarterly, and artists living or working within the City of Pendleton are encouraged to submit their work.
The first exhibition will be a group show highlighting the diverse talents of local artists working in a variety of two-dimensional art mediums. Artists are encouraged to submit images of up to 3 pieces for consideration. Entries will be reviewed and selected by the Art in City Hall subcommittee of the Pendleton Arts Commission.
The inaugural show will run October 6 – December 23, 2026. The deadline for submissions is August 7, 2026.
“This is an exciting project,” said Arts Commission Chair Stephanie Huffman. “Dedicating space for artwork gives the community a reason to visit City Hall and celebrate our local talent.”

In addition to group exhibitions, future ACH shows will feature solo artists which will allow emerging artists to grow their portfolio and artist resumes. Before each show a call for artists, artist application, submission guidelines, and an exhibition and loan agreement will be publicized on the City’s website.
The Arts Commission hopes the program will provide local artists a new venue to exhibit their work while also encouraging the community to seek out more everyday experiences with art. Whether visiting City Hall to pay bills, attend meetings or return library books, Pendletonians will now have a chance to discover the work of local artists in their community.
Artwork will be for display only. Interested buyers are asked to contact the artist directly to arrange for private sales after the artwork is no longer part of the exhibition. Artist contact information will be available at the Community Development Department office.
