February 13 PAWS Report! (Valentine’s Day Special!)
First the good news, then the BETTER news!
Three cats from the last PAWS Report – Tiger, Birdie and Party – have been adopted!

(Above cats all adopted! Tiger says So long, suckas!)
(Junior, Jellyroll and Cauliflower are still waiting for their forever homes.)

Cauliflower, apparently, had been misgendered, and we can now report authoritatively that our one-eyed pirate kitty is a girl.
She’ll be spayed next week, so if you’re a regular Paws Report reader who was thinking of adopting a one eyed kitty with one of the loudest purrs we’ve ever heard if only he were a she, well then…come on down!
She really is adorable, friendly as anything, and absolutely ready to find her people.
Cauliflower, a one-eyed girl still waiting to join her pirate crew! ——————->
OK, on to the new cats (with a special Valentine’s Day appeal to the broken hearted on Jellyroll’s behalf.)

Any fellow ginger kitty peeps out there? Yesterday I met a pair of bonded ginger pair named Apollo and Zeus.
They are still young, and won’t be ready to adopt until after they get snipped next week, but if you are a ginger kitty person you will love these guys, who displayed their ginger tendencies the minute I opened their cage, dominating the situation by crawling out of the cage and climbing on top of me.
One of them distracted me with cuteness while the other one tried to steal my wallet.
(OK, joking on that last bit, but I wouldn’t put it past a ginger. Our own Ginger kitty once BROKE INTO A NEIGHBOR’S APARTMENT TO STEAL CAT TOYS. Gingers are fun, active, free-spirited, and yes, a bit naughty)
Apollo and Zeus need to be spayed next week, but you can still meet them now and apply to adopt them. Keep ’em together if possible.

This kitty above with the intense gaze is named Silas. He’s a big boy, but don’t body shame him. Super friendly, loves making biscuits, being pet, and following me around like a dog. If he were my cat I’d call him Beefcake.
Cucumber (below) is a female domestic shorthair, just shy of two years old. She’s sweet, likes to be pet, and is awfully tired of living at the shelter.

Last but not least, we return to our special Valentine’s day appeal for the Lady Jellyroll!

Fellas….ladies….Have you ever experienced heartbreak?
Did someone you loved and trusted break your heart so bad that no matter what, you didn’t think you’d ever learn to love again?
I’ve spent time with Jellyroll over the last few months, and I think this is what happened to her.
When we first met up I couldn’t even approach her. These days I can pet her gently, and even give her head scratches.
She wants to be loved, she wants to learn to trust again, but…it’s going to take a special someone. She’s beautiful, sweet and healthy. She seems to tolerate the presence of other cats, but she does not seek their company. She would make a perfect cat for someone looking to fall back in love slowly.

She needs a patient BFF. She needs someone to heal with. Might you be that someone?
Come on down to PAWS and meet Jellyroll, Zeus and Apollo, Cauliflower, or any of the other cool cats (dogs too) at the Pendleton Animal Welfare Shelter!
