OES Principal Harpist Chelsea Spence-Crane and clarinetist Shannon Scott will perform Paul Reade’s “Suite from The Victorian Kitchen Garden” as part of the annual Chamber Music Festival.
The Victorian Kitchen Garden was a British television series following a master gardener and horticultural expert as they recreate a kitchen garden of the Victorian era as authentically as possible with tools and techniques from the period.
Reade’s award winning theme music and soundtrack was arranged by himself into a five movement suite for harp and clarinet.

Leo Moon is the solo incarnation of actor, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Brian Adrian Koch. California born and Oregon raised, Brian has been active in the Portland theater, film & music scene since arriving in 2000. He is a current and founding member of indie rock band Blitzen Trapper (2000 – present), and formerly of psychedelic folk duo Dead Lee (2017-2023). Appearing now as a solo acoustic performer, his minimal and haunting tunes are stripped down paeans to the glorious absurdities of life; harmonica spattered psalms to the void.

This is a relaxed gathering where Maya Morningstar will create a custom tea blend (for you and your dog), talk about co-regulation and how our dogs and our nervous systems influence each other, explore simple ways to slow down, reduce stress, and deepen connection & explore herbs that support calm for people and canines. Saturday, April 25 ~ 9am-12pm ~ Sure Spring River Cleanup and Tree Giveaway @ Stillman Park
Come join the Stewards of the Umatilla River Environment at Pendleton’s Stillman Park! Registration starts at 9 a.m. and once everyone is registered, there will be a safety briefing. Then, everyone can fan out both upriver and downriver along the 2.5 mile Umatilla River Parkway, cleaning up the walking path, the levee and the riverbank. Those with excellent strength and agility can go across to the north side of the river, where there is no path. If you don’t have your own gloves, we will supply them, along with trash bags. Please wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and bring water. Click here to register.
